PM Modi Vows Justice After Red Fort Explosion in Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged swift and decisive action following the explosion near Delhi’s historic Red Fort on Friday evening. The blast, which sent shockwaves across the capital, has left the nation in grief and raised fresh security concerns.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Modi wrote:
“The horrific blast in Delhi last evening has deeply pained everyone. India stands with those who have suffered. I assure everyone that the agencies will get to the bottom of the entire conspiracy. All those involved will be brought to justice.”
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale investigation to determine the cause and identify those responsible. Early reports suggest multiple agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Delhi Police Special Cell, are collaborating on the case.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of casualties or the nature of the explosives used. However, sources indicate that intelligence teams are pursuing several leads linked to suspected extremist networks.
The Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a symbol of India’s independence, has been a high-security zone for decades, especially during national events. The explosion’s proximity to such a significant landmark has intensified calls for stronger counter-terrorism measures in the capital.
PM Modi’s statement underscores the government’s determination to hold every perpetrator accountable, signaling a tough stance against any threat to national security.
